When you look at David’s life on the surface, there doesn’t seem to have much to impress God. His job title wasn’t exciting. He wasn’t leading an army. He wasn’t jumping off tall buildings. He was a very young shepherd taking care of sheep in a little village of Bethlehem. He was keeping his father’s sheep.
