CONFIDENCE IN A CRISIS
2 Chronicles 20:1-30

God has given us a Warcry.
RAK CHAZAK AMATS: (rak) (khaw-zawk’) (aw-mats’)

BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS!

So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 (NLT)

Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. 1 Corinthians 16:13 (NLT)

YOU KNOW YOU ARE IN A CRISIS WHEN _____________ OVERWHELMS YOU AND YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO.

WHAT SHOULD WE DO?

1. ____________ THE LORD IN ________________

Jehoshaphat was terrified by this news and begged the Lord for guidance. He also ordered everyone in Judah to begin fasting.
(V. 3)

2. CHANGE YOUR ______________ See beyond what YOU ____________.

If what you see is all you see, you do not see all there is to be ___________.

Principle: If you really want to understand what’s going on – everything visible and physical is preceded by something invisible and spiritual. Spiritual warfare is the conflict in the invisible realm that affects what’s going on in the visible realm.

• Don’t wrestle in the wrong ___________________.

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the [a]wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [b]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Ephesians 6:10-13 (NKJV)

• Change your focus from the visible to the invisible realm.
He prayed, “O Lord, God of our ancestors, you alone are the God who is in heaven. You are ruler of all the kingdoms of the earth. You are powerful and mighty; no one can stand against you!” 2 Chronicles 20:6 (NLT)

• Change your focus from the crisis to the _______________________

O our God, won’t you stop them? We are powerless against this mighty army that is about to attack us. We do not know what to do, but we are looking to you for help” 2 Chronicles 20:12 (NLT)

3. REMEMBER THE ____________

13 As all the men of Judah stood before the Lord with their little ones, wives, and children, 14 the Spirit of the Lord came upon one of the men standing there. His name was Jahaziel son of Zechariah, son of Benaiah, son of Jeiel, son of Mattaniah, a Levite who was a descendant of Asaph. 2 Chronicles 20:13,14 (NLT)

He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and He will deliver us again. On Him we have set our hope that He will continue to deliver us, 2 Corinthians 1:10 (NIV)

4. ___________________ THE BATTLE IS THE LORD’S

He said, “Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat! This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
2 Chronicles 20:15 (NLT)

• Realize the battle is the Lord’s but you must be in _______________.

5. RELEASE YOUR ________________ FOR VICTORY

18 Then King Jehoshaphat bowed low with his face to the ground. And all the people of Judah and Jerusalem did the same, worshiping the Lord. 19 Then the Levites from the clans of Kohath and Korah stood to praise the Lord, the God of Israel, with a very loud shout.
2 Chronicles 20:18,19 (NLT)

“Never let feelings sit in judgment over your faith; you must always let your faith sit in judgment over your feelings.”
