Paula Dannielle has worked in ministry for over 25 years and has undergraduate and graduate degrees from Arizona State University and Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. She is pursuing her doctorate at Duke University and focusing on Biblical interpretation and reconciliation. Paula was ordained into the Christian Ministry in July 2012.
Paula serves in Charlotte at Forest Hill Church, a multi-site congregation. During her tenure at Forest Hill Church, Paula assisted the over 8,000-member community in transitioning to a family ministry model and incorporating the Orange curriculum. In 2020, Paula was named the congregation’s first female Associate Pastor.
In addition to her professional pastoral responsibilities, Paula develops leaders and works with ministries and other parachurch organizations regarding Next Gen Ministry, leadership development, and racial reconciliation. She is a regular contributor to Orange, a division of The reThink Group, and works with Arrabon, a spiritual formation organization that specializes in helping churches become reconciling communities. Paula is the creator of LIS’N, which encourages people to listen more closely to others so they can better see God’s work in the world. Part of that work includes creating the Dear Sister project, helping White women learn what Black women want them to know.
Paula is the proud mother of three beautiful young adults: Chayil Destiny, Charity Joy, and Cherish Faith.
