What’s Christmas About?
A Charlie Brown Christmas
Luke 2:8-14
“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.’ Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests.’” Luke 2:8-14 (NKJV)

The Son of Man came to find lost people and save them. Luke 19:10 (ERV)
3. _____________________ PEACE
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.” Luke 2:14 (NKJV)
18 All this is from God. Through Christ, God made peace between Himself and us. And God gave us the work of bringing people into peace with Him. 19 I mean that God was in Christ, making peace between the world and Himself. In Christ, God did not hold people guilty for their sins. And He gave us this message of peace to tell people. 20 So we have been sent to speak for Christ. It is like God is calling to people through us. We speak for Christ when we beg you to be at peace with God. 21 Christ had no sin, but God made Him become sin so that in Christ we could be right with God. 2 Corinthians 5:18-21 (ERV)
