HOW DO I LET JESUS RESCUE ME?

1._________ THE NEED FOR RESCUE

But I’ve lost it. I’m wasted. God – quickly, quickly! Quick to my side, quick to my rescue! God, don’t lose a minute. Psalm 70:5 (LB)

You rescue the humble, but you put down all who are proud. Psalm 18:27 (CEV)

2.________ I CAN’T RESCUE MYSELF

I stand silently before the Lord, waiting for Him to rescue me. For salvation comes from Him alone. Psalm 62:1 (LB)

Really! There’s no such thing as self-rescue, pulling yourself up by your bootstraps. The cost of rescue is beyond our means, and even then it doesn’t guarantee Life forever, or insurance against the Black Hole. Psalm 49:7-8 (MSG)

When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. Psalm 91:15 (NLT)
