WHAT’S HAPPENING?
From the beginning of TFH, we have made it a priority to seek God First in prayer. Together we faithfully seek God first, trusting in His power alone to help us Love God, Help People, and Make Disciples.

Beginning at 12:00 am 9/16 (Monday) and concluding at midnight 9/22 (Sunday) we are going to participate in The 24/7 PRAYER/FASTING CHALLENGE. We will fast intensively during these 7 days as well as have someone praying around the clock for 7 days. There’s something about the extreme challenge of 24/7 Prayer that makes it work. Only eternity will reveal the impact of our 168 consecutive hours of prayer!!

HOW DO I GET INVOVLED?
If you sense God has more for your life The 24/7 PRAYER/FASTING CHALLENGE is a great place to start believing Him for all that He has for you.
✓ Prayer Time
It only takes 24 people, each praying during their assigned hour, to create a chain of night and day prayer and see the needs, priorities, hope and hurts of our family, friends and community brought to God.

✓ Fasting – simply stated, is refraining from food for a spiritual purpose.
The goal of fasting is to draw nearer to God. Biblical fasting always has to do with eliminating distractions for a spiritual purpose; it hits the reset button of our soul and renews us from the inside out. Remember, your personal fast should present a level of challenge, but it is very important to know your body, your options, and, most importantly, to seek God in prayer and follow what the Holy Spirit leads you to do.

There are several types of fasting. The one you choose is between you and God. He will honor your best sacrifice.

Full Fast
Drink only liquids (you establish the number of days).

The Daniel Fast
Eat no meat, no sweets and no bread. Drink water and juice. Eat fruits and vegetables.

3-Day Fast
This fast can be a Full Fast, Daniel Fast or give up at least one item of food.

Partial Fast
A partial fast is from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm or from sunup to sundown. You can select from three types of fasting – a Full Fast, Daniel Fast or give up at least one item of food.

Each day you will find the prayer topics to help you pray strategically. Use this guide to pray during your assigned time frame as a catalyst for your hour of prayer. Relax, our goal is not necessarily that you pray for 60 minutes, for some that would be a huge stretch, but for others it’s an everyday discipline. Be you, but be ALL in. It’s really not about the length of prayer but the passion of prayer.”

MONDAY 9/16: THIS IS WAR!!
Acknowledge that you’re in a spiritual battle. Then, claim the protection God has given you by praying through the different pieces of armor described in Ephesians 6:11-18.

“Thank You, Lord, for my salvation. I receive it in a new and fresh way from You, and I declare that nothing can separate me from the love of Christ and the place I have in Your Kingdom. I wear Your righteousness today against all condemnation and corruption. Cover me with Your VICTORY. I put on the belt of truth. I choose a lifestyle of honesty and integrity. Expose the lies I have believed and show me Your truth today. I choose to live for the gospel in every moment. Show me where You are working and lead me to it. Give me strength to walk daily with You. I believe that You are powerful against every lie and attack of the enemy, and I receive and claim Your power in my life. Nothing is coming today that can overcome me because You are with me. Holy Spirit, show me the truths of the Word of God that I will need to counter the traps of the enemy. Bring those Scriptures to mind today. Finally, Holy Spirit, I agree to walk in step with You in everything as my spirit communes with You in prayer throughout the day.”

“Father, Your Word says that no weapon formed against me will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and I declare it in Jesus’ name. Your Word says that trouble will not arise a second time (Nahum 1:9). I declare in Jesus’ name that satan cannot make trouble for me again, like he has in the past. I declare in the name of Jesus that all these prayers are answered and taken care of by trusting You. Father God, I give You all of my thanksgiving, praise, glory, honor, and worship. Thank You for loving me, making me clean, and giving me purpose.”

TUESDAY 9/17: PRAYING FOR THE LOST
Our Father, our heart’s desire and prayer is for the salvation of our loved ones, our sons and daughters, our brothers and sisters, our mothers and fathers, our friends and neighbors, those we know and all those in our sphere of influence. They are dead in trespasses and sins, walking according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, without hope, hell-bound, facing eternity without Him who died for them.

Bring them to Yourself, Lord! Convict them of sin, and unrighteousness, and of judgment and grant them saving faith. Grant them sight. Give them light. I pray dear Lord, support me with Your power as I witness to others. Too often I have missed opportunities to speak for You. Forgive me where I have failed. Help me see opportunities for witnessing and give me the courage to speak up.
Increase my concern for lost souls and my desire to witness; strengthen me according to my great need. Lord, I often don’t know what to say, but You know. I am weak and afraid, but You are strong. Make Your love my love; Your words my words; and Your strength my strength. Help me speak the right word at the right time, and with all Your children on earth help me to go forth to new victories for You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

✓ Pray that God would remove Satan’s blinding influence. Unbelievers have been blinded by Satan and will only ever be able to see and appreciate the gospel if God works within them. So, pray that God would give them sight – spiritual sight. “In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (2 Corinthians 4:4).

✓ Pray for boldness in generating and taking opportunities to speak the gospel. Even Paul longed for this boldness and for the confidence that he was speaking the right and best words. Pray that God would give you the boldness and, that when you take the opportunities, that He would then guide your words. “[Pray] also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel…” (Ephesians 6:19).

✓ Pray for other believers to encounter them. God almost always uses a succession of people to share the gospel with people before they are saved. Pray, then, that God would lead other Christians into the lives of the unbelievers you love, that they too would provide an example of Christian living and that they too would
speak the gospel. “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth” (1 Corinthians 3:6).”

WEDNESDAY 9/18: HEALING
“Father, in the name of Jesus, I come before You asking for healing (name yourself or someone you are praying to experience healing). My hope is in You as our Healer. I believe You are able to do this. Your name is Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals, and I believe every knee will bow to You including the name of (name disease or disorder). Thank You, Jesus, for dying on the cross so that we can receive healing. You say that You forgive our sins and heal our diseases, and I praise You for this. Thank You that the Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us. I stand in faith believing for healing for (yourself or someone you’re praying for). Nothing is impossible for You, God! Give us peace and direction as
You work in our lives. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

Glorious Father, You are our Healer, and Your Word declares everyone who calls on Your Name will be saved. By the authority in Your Name, we decree that all forms and types of cancer within the bodies of Your people will no longer have dominion. We decree that no weapon formed against the spiritual and physical bodies of Your people will prosper. We cancel the devil’s assignments to destroy their bodies with carcinoma, sarcoma, leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and all forms of cancer, including the central nervous system. We declare that all malignant and abnormal cells are dying; they are no longer dividing and spreading through the blood or lymph systems. We trust in You, our God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing; therefore, we declare life and restoration into their bodies. By faith, we boldly command complete healing of the immune system in the bodies of Your children. Lord, we decree that You are their light and salvation, so they will not be afraid. You are their fortress, their protection from danger, so they will not tremble. We command peace to be still in their lives as they are being made whole by the miraculous power of God.

Holy Spirit, please help those who are overcoming cancer to set their hope on You so that they will continue to obey God’s commands and not forget His glorious miracles. Continue to use all health professionals as instruments of healing; through the practice of medicine, prayer offered in faith, the laying on of hands and other means of healing that You have ordained. Give researchers divine insight into the causes, diagnoses and treatment of cancers. Strengthen those persons who are suffering with these conditions in their bodies, and help them to live out their faith in You. Increase their endurance and patience as they walk through the healing process. Fill them with Your presence and remind them that You will never fail or abandon them. Daily remind them that there is nothing too hard for God and with Him, everything is possible. Surround them with Your peace as they undergo chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery or other cancer treatment methods.
Touch the hearts of family members to provide an atmosphere of faith, hope and love.

THURSDAY 9/19: PRAY FOR OUR NATION
Almighty and everlasting Lord, ruler of all, we commend our nation and its leaders to Your supreme care. We humbly ask that You have mercy on this nation and call us to loving repentance. Purge our land from sinful pleasures, dishonesty and corruption. By Your mighty hand shield this nation from evil so Your church can do its work in peace.

Bless our president, the members of Congress, and all officials who serve us in national, state and local government. Impress upon those who serve this nation to grasp the sacredness of the responsibility You have placed upon them. Give our leaders the gifts for righteous leadership, wisdom to make decisions that will bring godly order, justice to our society, and compassion for the weary. Transform the hearts and minds of all who are in authority so their governance might glorify You. Give us hearts to continually pray for our leaders.

Provide us with freedom of worship and a nation in which Your church might flourish by the clear proclamation of Your Gospel. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.

✓ Pray for the upcoming election that God’s will be done.
✓ Pray for our elected officials to uphold biblical principles of life, marriage and religious freedoms.
✓ Pray for those in authority. Ask God to bring to mind local and national spiritual and political leaders, and pray for each.
✓ Pray about national issues and challenges, such as the economy and its impact on everyday families.”

FRIDAY 9/20: PRAY FOR MARRIAGES AND FAMILIES
Father, I’m praying for marriages and families here at The Father’s House and all those in my immediate and extended family who are married.

Protect our marriages. May each husband be strong in his faith, yielded to the Lord, loving, kind, and considerate. May they all be men of prayer and students of the Word – in every way the leaders and examples they are meant to be. May they love their wives as they love their own bodies, and may their wives respect and love them. (Matthew 8:5–10; Romans 12:1; John 13:34; Ephesians 4:32; 1 Peter 3:7;Psalm 119:15; Ephesians 5:33)

May each wife be her husband’s help and support, the one who makes him complete. Help them all be submissive, strong, God-fearing, generous, and wise. May their husbands have confidence in them, and may their husbands and children call them blessed. (Genesis 2:18; Ephesians 5:22; Proverbs 31:25, 30b, 20, 26, 27, 28)

May husbands and wives be protected from the evil one, who wants to destroy marriages and disrupt families. Help them to live in the shelter of Your presence, protected under the refuge of Your wings. John 17:15; 2 Thessalonians 3:3; John 10:10; Psalm 91:1–4, 14–16)
Keep their marriages and families free from the influence of the world. In Jesus’ name, amen.

✓ Ask God for wayward hearts and minds to turn to Him and His ways while He may be found. That divorce would begin a sharp decline.
✓ Pray for elected officials to stand strong in honor of God and not give in to fear of man in issues of marriage legislation.
✓ Pray for a tremendous increase of healthy marriages for examples and support. Seek that Christian counseling resources would be easily affordable and available.
✓ Ask the Lord to bring godly Christian couples to the forefront as a witness to our nation and to the church.

SATURDAY 9/21: PRAYING GOD’S PROVISION
Dear God, we thank you that no situation is too far out of Your control to provide. For you are Jehovah- Jireh, the God who provides. We thank You that You own it all, and hold everything in Your hands. We thank You that You know our needs before we even ask, before we even come to You. You’re aware of all that concerns us, and You have a plan. You hold the provision, You have the solution. You alone can move mountains to make a way for Your children.

We ask for Your answer, in Your timing, in Your plan, to be given for every need that weighs our hearts down. Forgive us for doubting You, for worrying, and for trying so hard to work everything out on our own. Help us to trust You more, help us in our unbelief. We choose to recognize and to believe that You are able to accomplish far more, to do far greater, than we even thought possible.
We thank You in advance for Your miracles, for paving out pathways, for Your provision for those who love You. Thank You for the abundance of blessing and goodness You have already stored up. We trust You this day, and every day, and are so grateful for Your Power and joy that fills our lives. Thank You for teaching
us to be content in all circumstances, we love You Lord, we’re leaning on You, In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.

SUNDAY 9/22: PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH AND COMMUNITY
Lord, today I lift up to You my church, The Father’s House. I give you thanks for this church and what it means to me. Lord, I ask you to bless us with the desire to do more for the world around us and for one another. I ask that we reach out to the community, to impact it for Your Kingdom. I ask that You bless us with the resources to fulfill Your mission for our church.

Lord, I also ask that You give us a strong sense of Your Holy Spirit. I ask that You fill our hearts with all that You are and direct us in ways that we are always living in Your will. Lord, I ask that when people enter our church they feel You all around them. I ask that we remain hospitable to each other and to outsiders, and I ask for Your grace and forgiveness when we slip up.

And Lord, I ask for the blessing of wisdom on our pastors and church leaders. I ask that You guide the messages that come out of our leader’s mouths. I ask that the words uttered among the covenant partners be ones that honor You and encourage each other.
Lord, my church is one of the most important things in my life, because it brings me closer to You. I ask for your blessings on it, and I lift it up to You. Thank You, Lord, for allowing me to be a part of this church, and a part of You.

✓ Pray for the Night of Worship October 6 and come “expecting.”
✓ Pray that our Church, Leadership and Pastoral Staff becomes more surrendered and poured out to Christ, so they can have spiritual breakthroughs by seeking the fear of God and the mind of Christ and the Spirit’s leading (1 Cor. 2:16; Gal. 2:20-21).
✓ Pray for discernment in exposing any plans of the enemy against our Church or attacking our pastors and staff. Ask Christ to protect us as we wage spiritual warfare against the enemy on behalf of our Church (Eph. 6:11-12, 16; Col. 2:6-8; 1 Pet. 3:12).
✓ Pray against gossip, negative criticism, false expectations, unhealthy burdens, strife and weariness that will seek to invade our church family (Psalm 91:5-6, 11; Luke 10:19; Eph. 4: 17, 32-5:1).
