Mission & Vision

Every church needs to have a mission statement that answers the question, “Why do we exist?” It defines the purpose. At TFH, we filter every idea, program, and budget request through our mission statement. If what we plan doesn’t help us meet our purpose, then we don’t do it.

OUR MISSION @ THE FATHER’S HOUSE is summarized in a single statement:
Leading people to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

Our mission is simple. That’s it. It’s not about a denomination, buildings, or a complicated structure. It is about Jesus – who came to this world and died, and rose again that we could have relationship with God.

It is based on two teachings of Jesus: Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 22:37-40)

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe…” Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed His word by the signs that accompanied it. (Mark 16:15-20)
